Today I am going to write an article to everyone who is confused or don't really know how to navigate through Microsoft Word. Some people out there are used to the older versions of Microsoft Office and don't want to upgrade to the 2013 version. This may be helpful to the more older generation and hopefully everyone who does come across this article will find it helpful to them and will be able to share this knowledge to someone else. I will first talk about the general use of each program and then get into detail about how to expand the general uses of them.
When you open up Word, the first screen that comes up, is a template choosing where you can choose either a blank document, which is mostly used, or there will be more templates you can choose from such as a cover letter or a resume. You also have easy access to recent saved documents on the left hand size allowing you to open past documents much quicker. So once you choose blank document, usually you will want to save the document, if you are doing something that you want to keep for the future. For saving you can click on the save icon in the upper left hand corner or go into the FILE menu and save that way.
The first tab I want to talk about is the HOME tab. This is the most used tab in Microsoft Office. Within this tab you can change the font of your paper. Within the font column, this is where you can bold words, make them italic, underline certain words, highlight words and change the color of different words as well, and change the size of the letters to better see what you are writing and allow readers to better read your document as well. Another column is the paragraph and style column where you can position where you want to portray your Word document, make bullet lists and number lists, and you can modify the spacing throughout your paper document.
The insert tab is next to the Home tab and this is where you can insert any type of illustrations from shapes to pictures. This tab is where you want to add a table, add ins, videos, links, a header and footer, If you want to get creative with inserting fun and exciting fonts to your words or titles, WordArt is located here and will give you exciting options to format your titles. The Design tab is to portray your theme in the Word document to whoever is reading this. There are many different styles you can choose to transform your document to make it look more presentable and not as boring to the readers. Along with formatting your document to a specific theme, you can also change the color, font, paragraph spacing, and the effects of the entire document from this tab.

I was reading an article on how our beloved government is intending to enter the fray against cyber security malefactors, read that cyber criminals, who have made a lifetime of hacking into our government and business computer systems. Our Government's Hope to Abolish Cyber Security Intruders!
We are going to have a new government agency taking over the process of performing background checks of existing and potential government employees. They are going to create a brave and courageous band of cyber security warriors.
Yes, that's right! We are going to end computer viruses and malware by building a new federal agency that will perform background checks to eliminate all the cyber criminals.
Think back a number of months and we all heard how the Office of Personnel management (OPM) had its files hacked and lots of personal information stolen from something like twenty-two million past and current federal employees. I also remember how this example of government ineptitude cost the Director's job.
Anyway, OPM's press secretary told the New York Times that they needed to utilize a large and trained cyber security work force and have them protect against and even respond to cyber criminals.
Cyber Security Specialists are going to leap up on the wall and endanger all the Malware and Viruses!

We all know now that all the cyber criminals are worried to no end.
The new agency will be called the National Background Investigations Bureau (NBIB). These cyber warriors are going to run background checks for the Department of Defense (DOD) and are going to design and build the new agency's information technology and computer security systems to accomplish that feat.
The Federal News Radio reported that it will also operate the data storage and security of the new system. We understand that the NBIB and its healthy staff will work within the Office of Personnel Management. We are going to have a Presidential appointee to run it. It seems to be a bit unclear exactly when the new agency will actually begin, but work on the project is sure to begin sometime this year. Or so.

How to Increase the Life of Your Printer

You have just come back from your holidays, you dust off your printer, pop in a camera memory card and set off printing your pictures only to find your printer isn't working properly. Now before writing your printer off, here are a few tips and ideas to help prolong your printer lifespan and to get it working perfectly again.
Keep It Clean
You would think this is a pretty obvious point, but it is amazing how many people neglect to clean their printers.
Everything needs a clean now and again to keep it working properly, especially printers. In order to aid with the printing process, ink and toner contain additives such as wax, drying agents and lubricants all of which, expectantly, get into all the little cracks of the printer after long print jobs. A build-up of this will cause mechanical parts to stick and seize and cover important sensors in your printer.
The best way to clean your printer is to first turn it off. Next you will need a small brush (A clean, fine Bristle paint brush works well) to clean off excess dust in and around the printer exterior. For the interior and mechanical parts, I tend to use 70% Isopropyl Alcohol on a small cotton ball and gently dab out the thickest chunks of ink, followed with a dry paper towel to polish. Be Gentle When Unblocking Paper
When paper is jammed DO NOT pull the paper out through the output tray. Doing this is harmful to the paper wheels which feeds the paper through and can also tear the paper, leaving behind bits of torn paper, which will harm your printer later.
Most printers come with a rear hatch which will allow you access to the printer wheels and where the paper jam is likely to be. Once the jam is located be careful when removing the paper to avoid bending or harming any parts of the printer.
Use Your Printer Often
It is a common recommendation from most manufacturers to keep your printer in regular use. Regular use will prevent ink from clogging your printer heads which can result in smudgy results or missing colours. Regular use will also prevent dust from settling inside your printer which will ultimately improve the printers performance.
Quality Paper Helps A Lot!
To the naked eye, printer paper looks all the same; however, printer paper comes in many different types. One of the main measurements for paper is its grammage or density of the paper. Paper with less density or a lower grammage is often cheaper and probably the choice of most people looking to save a few pennies, the drawback is that low density paper, due to its flimsiness, are more likely to cause paper jams which can ultimately damage your printer. A grammage of 90g/m2 is the industry standard for high quality printer paper.

My Computer Writes For God and a Backlit Keyboard Is Essential for Older Eyes

Writing articles and checking on websites and blogs is what the Spirit requires of me and that means starting on the computer as early as 3 or 4 a.m. and spending a lot of time on it during the day. My eyes get tired and as an older person it is not easy for me to read black keyboards, especially when the letters begin to fade. Also the outcome is not the same and it takes longer to produce an article on it..
When called by the Spirit to tear down the wall of confusion that sits over the world it involved years of typing and publishing. Gradually the work has built into a huge volume of information that is part of the plan for the last days, a time we are now in. It is published on the Internet where the truth concerning all things is available to everyone. What Do We Know About Internet of Things?

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the hot topic in the technology industry and we're left to wonder why every industry insider is frenzied about it. As new as it may sound, IoT is not a newly born technology but the one that's been here for some time. Kevin Ashton, co-founder of Auto-ID center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, conceived it in the early 2000's. Ashton was one of the pioneers of IoT, which he developed when he was working for a P&G project that involved linking RFID information to the internet.
